RECEIVE POWER
Scriptural Highlight: (Acts 1:7-8 NIV) - "He said to them: 'It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit is come on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.'"
Many people in the world live in fear and unnecessary concerns, just as the disciples of Jesus were concerned about the restoration of Israel. In our days, you will hear people say, "Oh there is earthquake their!; these are the last days! Oh, so much killings here and their!; what an evil world!", and so on. Yes, as good as it is for us to be concerned over our world, we won't make much difference over the things we are concerned about if we are not empowered to. The concern of a Christian should be: to seek the Holy Spirit, to receive His power, His presence and His direction. Because, these are the things that can enable us to bring change to a dying world. In (Exodus 33:16b) Moses asked God "what else will distinguish (make a difference) me and your people
from all other people on the face of the earth?" Beloved, the power of God through the Holy Spirit in us is the answer (difference maker) to every situation facing us. May His power rest in you In Jesus name. Flourish!
Action Point: Seek Jesus and the Presence of the Holy Spirit.
