Scriptural Highlight : ( Genesis 2:5 )- "There was no plants or grain sprouting up across the earth at first, for the Lord God hadn't sent any rain; nor was there anyone to farm the soil." In our scriptural highlight for today, the Bible is describing the generations of heaven and the earth - that is, the creation process. At that time there was no plants or grain sprouting up across the earth because the Lord God hadn't sent any rain. There was no man to farm the soil yet. Note well that God is orderly in His dealings. He made the world in such a way that one thing depended on another. He followed a certain order. Plants couldn't just grow  unless their was rain. So at the time under question why did God restrain the rain? Why was there no rain? The Gift of God

Scriptural Highlight : ( John 3:16) - "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life." Our scriptural highlight for today talks about God's love for the world. God loved the world. He didn't just stop  at "I love the world", He gave. And what God gave was His only Son, Jesus Christ. One day I made some sacrifices that cost me something big; I thought this was it; God must appreciate this. God offcourse appreciated but He told me something. He said to me "Until you give your all....." There is nothing we can do for God that outweighs what He already did for us. Some people become unusually proud because maybe they sponsored God's work, or their tithe is usually bigger than others and all that. Appeal for Consecration

Scriptural Highlight : ( Romans12:1 ) - "I appeal to you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship." In this scripture, God is making an appeal through the writer, Apostle Paul. What is an appeal? To appeal is to make an earnest request for something; another meaning of  appeal is to make a review on something. So in our scriptural highlight, Paul was earnestly requesting that brethren (believers in Christ) in Rome present their bodies to God as a living sacrifices; Paul was reviewing a charge he already gave to the Roman church - that is to say, God was re-emphasizing to the church the need to submit themselves as living sacrifices. Also notice that the appeal God was making through Paul was based on the mercies of God: "I appeal to you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God..."
